About the Kitsap County Veterans Memeorial Project: The Memorial is to be erected in the memory of Veterans that have served in all branches of service and in all conflicts. The idea behind the Memorial is to create a low maintenance reflecting area for individuals to visit or for group functions to be held. The identified location is in Silverdale, Washington at an existing park area located adjacent to the Silverdale Waterfront Park and Pier. The Rotary Club of Silverdale Sunrise and the Kitsap Homebuilders Association have co-sponsored the start of this project. Already many business and community members have shown great interest in helping to establish the Veterans Memorial. We are not surprised. Given the great number of Veterans and Active Duty Military that live in the county, we felt that it is a fitting tribute to our Military. Components of the Memorial will be completed through donations of materials, labor and cash contributions.
